Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a boilermaker/welder apprentice to join our Gladstone branch, starting in January 2027. Based at the Gladstone workshop, the four-year apprenticeship combines paid work with hands-on training alongside experienced tradespeople.

You will complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication, with support from our apprenticeship team and opportunities for long-term career development across regional projects.

Qualifications

• Interest and commitment to an engineering apprenticeship.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Right to work in Australia.
• Reside locally in the Gladstone area.
• Pre-Apprenticeship (Certificate II in Engineering) beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Comply with responsibilities in relation to the terms of the training contract as an apprentice.
• Complete a qualification in Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication trade while working a full time capacity.
• Develop skills under the supervision of different experienced supervisors.
• Assist in fabrication and interpret drawing.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Learn to perform various techniques and meet quality standards.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and proactively identify and report potential hazards.
