Job summary

BHP is seeking a qualified Boilermaker for the Olympic Dam Surface Maintenance team. You will support planned, breakdown and unplanned maintenance within the Smelter plant, delivering safe, reliable workmanship in collaboration with operations and maintenance crews.

The role emphasizes safety, problem solving and continuous improvement, with residential, DIDO or FIFO options and a 7/7 roster as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualifications as a Boilermaker.
• Experience in fabrication, maintenance and repair in industrial/mining environments.
• Commitment to safety and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

• Safely execute planned, unplanned and breakdown maintenance in the Smelter plant.
• Follow maintenance standards and safe work practices to support operational excellence.
• Build relationships with operations personnel to resolve downtime issues efficiently.
• Provide regular feedback to supervisors on progress and issues.
• Support preventive and reactive maintenance through technical expertise.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve safe, reliable maintenance outcomes.
• Promote safety, wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures and plant performance.
• Work across shifts and departments to deliver value.
