Job summary

BHP Group is hiring a Technician Maintenance Execution Boilermaker at Olympic Dam in South Australia. You will support planned, breakdown and unplanned maintenance in the Smelter plant, working with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliability and safety on site.

The role requires an Australian recognised trade qualification and experience in industrial maintenance, with 7/7 roster options including residential, DIDO or FIFO arrangements.

Qualifications

• Australian recognised trade qualifications as a Boilermaker or in a mechanical discipline.
• Experience in fabrication, maintenance and repair in industrial/mining environments.
• Proactive safety focus and commitment to a safe workplace.
• Experience with maintenance management systems (1SAP beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Safely perform planned, unplanned and breakdown maintenance in the Smelter plant.
• Follow maintenance standards, procedures and safe work practices.
• Build relationships with operations to resolve downtime issues.
• Report maintenance progress and issues to supervisors.
• Support preventative and reactive maintenance through technical problem-solving.
• Collaborate with stakeholders for safe, reliable maintenance outcomes.
• Promote safety, wellbeing and environmental responsibility.
• Identify opportunities to improve procedures and plant performance.
