Job summary

Monadelphous is seeking a casual FIFO tradesperson to support rolling shutdowns and maintenance across major mining sites in Australia. You will work on crushers, conveyors, screens and fixed plant equipment, performing welding, fabrication and component replacements as required.

You’ll read drawings and work packs to execute tasks safely, with a strong focus on site safety, working at heights, and confined space compliance.

Qualifications

Australian-recognised Trade Certificate.
Ability to pass a weld test.
HtS & Confined Space certification within 3 years.
Gas Test Atmospheres within 5 years; Basic Fire within 4 years.
White Card; driver’s licence and right to work; site inductions highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Support rolling shutdowns across FMG, Rio Tinto and BHP operations.
Perform shutdown and maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens and fixed plant.
Carry out structural welding, fabrication, repairs and component replacements in line with site specifications.
Carry out maintenance on chutes, bins, hoppers, guards, handrails and conveyor systems.
Read and interpret drawings and work packs to complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently.
