Job summary

Nqpet is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker/Pipe Fitter for our Cairns Workshop. The role involves fabrication, MIG/TIG welding on stainless, carbon steel and aluminium, and pipe fitting for enclosures, skids, tanks and pump systems. Primarily workshop-based with occasional installation work.

The position offers a stable, long-term role with an immediate start and a 38-hour week, inviting candidates who value a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker or Pipe Fitter
• Experience in fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG)
• Experience with stainless, carbon steel, aluminium pipe fitting and welding

Responsibilities

• Fabricate enclosures, skids, tanks and pump systems
• Weld and fit pipe systems and assemblies
• Work primarily in a workshop with some site installation activities

Boilermaker / Pipe Fitter – Cairns Workshop

Join our Cairns Workshop team in this full-time, long-term role with an immediate start available.

We’re looking for an experienced, trade-qualified Boilermaker / Pipe Fitter with experience in:

• Fabrication and welding – MIG & TIG: Mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Pipe fitting and welding – stainless & carbon steel, 2”–6”, Shed 10–40
• Fabricating enclosures, skids, tanks and pump systems
