Job summary
Thiess is seeking a trade-qualified Boilermaker to maintain and repair mobile mining equipment at Curragh North Coal Project in Queensland. You will contribute to safe, reliable fleet performance and work within a high-performing maintenance team.
The role covers welding, fabrication, gouging, and interpretation of technical information, with a 7/7 day/night roster and full camp facilities. Applicants should hold a Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication or equivalent, have post-trade
Qualifications
- Trade Certification or equivalent.
- Evidence of post-trade experience in mining/heavy earthmoving environments.
- Strong welding, gouging and fabrication capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance on mobile mining equipment per Thiess procedures.
- Complete welding, fabrication, gouging and cutting to support reliability and availability.
- Source and interpret technical information from manuals and bulletins.
- Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain safe work practices.
- Ensure workshop tooling remains fit for purpose and report unsafe equipment.
