Job summary

NEPEAN Longwall in Kurri Kurri, NSW, is seeking a Boilermaker to join its workshop team. You will fabricate, repair, refurbish and maintain underground longwall mining equipment and components, reading drawings and ensuring quality.

This permanent full-time role offers AM/PM shifts, overtime, and strong career development within the NEPEAN Group. You’ll work in a modern facility with a safety-first culture and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural components for longwall equipment.
• Repair, refurbish and maintain underground mining equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
• Perform welding to industry and company standards.
• Maintain clean, organized work area per workshop standards.
• Collaborate with the skilled team on projects.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, NEPEAN Longwall is seeking experienced Boilermakers to join our workshop team in Kurri Kurri, NSW.

These opportunities are available on a full-time permanent basis, with both AM and PM shift options available. The Opportunity

As a Boilermaker, you will play a key role in the fabrication, repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of underground longwall mining equipment and associated components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Structural and component fabrication on longwall mining equipment
• Repair, refurbishment, and maintenance of underground mining equipment
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Fabrication and welding activities to industry and company standards
• Operating in accordance with quality, safety, and production requirements
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area to workshop standards
• Working collaboratively within a skilled and experienced team environment

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Boilermaker trade qualification
• Structural steel fabrication experience (essential)
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Legal rights to work in Australia
• Ability to work either AM or PM shift

Highly Regarded

• Longwall or underground mining equipment experience
• Overhead crane experience
• Forklift Licence
