Job summary

Civmec Construction & Engineering Pty Ltd is seeking Full Time Boilermakers for an immediate start, with structural steel experience, to join the Henderson facility team on the OPV project. Roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work possible.

Ideal candidates hold a Trade Certificate in Boilermaking or related field, have heavy fabrication workshop experience, and hold working at heights and confined space tickets. EWP is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings and standards.
• Experience in heavy fabrication workshop environments.
• Ability to mark out steel components per drawings and tolerances.
• Demonstrated ability to cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components to spec.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.

• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components to spec.
• Fit up and tack weld components with correct tolerances and weld prep.
• Fit lifting lugs and bracing to ensure integrity when moving with gantry cranes.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of Civmec’s Manufacturing and Fabrication Team, working at our Henderson Facility on the OPV project. These roles are Monday to Friday with weekend work available.

The Role

The daily responsibilities include:

• Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Mark out steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
• Cut, notch, drill, ream, shape and form steel components in accordance with engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications andstandards.
• Fit up and adequately tack weld steel components with correct dimensions, edge preparations, weld preparations, weld gaps and to tolerance indicated in engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards.
• Fit required lifting lugs, bracing, supports aids to ensure integrity of steel component when moving or rotating with gantrycranes.

About You

• Trade Certificate in Boilermaking, Metal Fabrication or Plateworker
• Heavy Fabrication Workshop experience
• Working at heights and confined space ticket required - EWP advantageous
• Minimum 2-3 years relevantexperience with similar structures, specifications and standard
• Plate work and Structural experience
