Job summary

Cavpower Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified Boilermaker/Welder for our Gepps Cross workshop. You will fabricate and repair Caterpillar components for mining, construction, earthmoving and related equipment.

Your responsibilities include fabricating, repairing and rebuilding large components, processing orders efficiently, coordinating with Supervisors, and maintaining strict OHS standards. This full-time permanent position offers a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified (Boilermaker / Welder).
• Heavy fabrication experience essential.
• Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Sound communication skills, written and verbal.
• Must hold a current driver’s license and forklift ticket.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, repair and rebuilding of large components for heavy underground and earthmoving equipment.
• Process orders and communicate with Supervisors on work in progress.
• Ensure compliance with all OHS requirements.

We are currently seeking a fully qualified Boilermaker / Welder for our purpose built workshop at Gepps Cross. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and/or repair of Caterpillar components for mining, construction, earthmoving and associated equipment.

Producing superior attachments for a range of customised equipment will be second nature to you, as will your ability to follow strict safety procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Fabrication, repair and rebuilding large components for heavy underground and earth moving equipment;
• Processing orders in a productive manner and communicating with Supervisors on work in progress;
• Ensure compliance with all OHS requirements.

Skills and Experience:

• Trade qualified (Boilermaker / Welder);
• Heavy fabrication experience is essential;
• The ability to interpret drawings and specifications;
• Sound communication skills - both written and verbal;
• Hold a current driver's licence and forklift ticket.

Previous experience within the mining, earthmoving or heavy trucking industries would be an advantage.
