Job summary

Australian Skilled Migration is seeking skilled welders with fabrication experience in Brisbane. The role involves fabricating and repairing boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and heavy metal components to engineering drawings and welding codes.

You will read drawings, set up welding procedures, perform TIG/MIG/MMA welding, and ensure quality and safety standards on site in Brisbane. Strong focus on precision, documentation and adherence to procedures is required.

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, blueprints and welding procedures.
• Ability to measure, mark, cut, bevel and shape steel components.
• Knowledge of pressure equipment fabrication and welding standards.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, weld, install and repair boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and heavy metal components per drawings and standards.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, welding procedures and fabrication specs.
• Perform pressure welding using TIG, MIG and MMA welding as required.
• Prepare joints, align components, set weld parameters and apply welding techniques.
• Weld pressure-retaining components and inspect for defects and conformance to specs.
• Maintain fabrication equipment and accurate records of completed work.
• Follow safety procedures including hot-work, confined-space and hazardous materials controls.
