Jet Aviation invites applications for an Aviation Welder in Brisbane to support repair, overhaul, fabrication and maintenance of aircraft components and tooling. The role requires precision welding experience and the ability to read engineering drawings within an aviation environment.

Applicants should have a recognised welding trade, experience with aerospace materials, and strong attention to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification in engineering fabrication, boilermaking, welding or equivalent.
• Demonstrated precision welding and fabrication experience.
• Practical TIG welding experience with aerospace materials.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and repair instructions.
• Knowledge of welding quality controls and inspection requirements.
• Understanding of aviation maintenance requirements and practices.
• Computer literacy with ERP systems and MS Office.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, brazing, fabrication, repair and overhaul of aircraft components and tooling.
• Apply TIG, MIG, oxy-acetylene and other approved welding processes.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Complete welding and fabrication activities in accordance with aviation requirements and quality standards.
• Inspect welds and repairs and report defects or concerns.
• Support manufacture, modification and repair of tooling and workshop equipment.
• Document work orders and ERP transactions accurately and on time.
• Identify hazards and maintain a safe working environment and housekeeping.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focused on safety, quality and productivity.
