Job summary

Gold Fields Group Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced Bogger Operator to join the Granny Smith mine crew in Western Australia. You will bog ore and waste from underground development headings, production stopes and stockpiles, while prioritising safety and equipment care.

Reporting to Underground Supervisors, you’ll work across production and development areas, operating CAT 2900 and CAT 1700 loaders with a focus on safe, efficient loading and moving of material.

Qualifications

• Experience operating underground Boggers in production and development crews.
• Teleremote experience with RCT highly regarded.
• Underground hard rock mining techniques including watering, bogging, scaling and trucking development.
• Commitment to safety, respect and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 2900 & CAT 1700 underground loaders safely and efficiently.
• Load, haul, and dump ore and waste in line with mine plans.
• Maintain development headings, production stopes, stockpiles and tipping areas.
• Complete pre-starts, identify and report hazards, ground conditions and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with underground truck drivers and other operators to load and haul efficiently.
• Ensure fitness-for-work on rostered days and contribute to a strong safety culture.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and safety-focused Bogger Operator to join our crew at Granny Smith gold mine. In this role, you’ll be responsible for safely bogging ore and waste from underground development headings, production stopes, and stockpiles.

Reporting to the Supervisor Underground Production, this role is suited to an operator who takes pride in their work, looks after their equipment, and is equally skilled working across both production and development areas.

About the Role:

• Operating CAT 2900 & CAT 1700 underground loaders (Boggers) safely & efficiently
