Job summary

Gold Fields is seeking an experienced Bogger Operator for Granny Smith mine in Western Australia. You will bog ore and waste underground, work across production and development headings, and support safe, efficient loading and haulage in line with mine plans.

The role emphasizes equipment maintenance, collaboration with fellow operators, and adherence to safety standards. A manual C class license and safety certifications are required, with a strong safety culture encouraged.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating underground Boggers in production and development crews (Teleremote experience with RCT highly regarded).
• Experience in underground hard rock mining techniques, including watering, bogging, scaling, and trucking development.
• Commitment to safety, respect, responsibility and collaboration.
• Current manual C class driver’s license.
• Dangerous Goods Security Card and Working at Heights.

Responsibilities

• Operate CAT 2900 & CAT 1700 underground loaders (Boggers) safely and efficiently.
• Load, haul, and dump ore and waste in line with mine plans.
• Maintain development headings, production stopes, stockpiles and tipping areas.
• Complete pre-starts, identify and report hazards and equipment issues.
• Collaborate with underground truck drivers and other operators to optimise load and haul.
• Ensure fitness-for-work on rostered days and uphold a strong safety culture.
