Illawarra Toyota is seeking an experienced Body Repair Technician to restore damaged vehicles to a high standard, safely and efficiently, in line with manufacturer specifications. You will be part of our Paint & Repair Centre within a professional, well-established automotive dealership.

Qualifications

• Experienced and qualified Panel Beater / Body Repair Technician.
• Strong attention to detail and high workmanship standards.
• Safe, efficient repair work in line with manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Carry out quality vehicle body repairs and panel work.
• Assess damage and determine required repairs.
• Remove, repair and refit damaged panels and components.
• Ensure correct panel alignment, gaps and finishes.
• Work with paint and mechanical teams through repairs.
• Follow manufacturer repair procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop.
• Complete work efficiently with high workmanship.

Job description

As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for restoring damaged vehicles to a high standard, ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer specifications. You will play an important role within our Paint & Repair Centre at Illawarra Toyota, a professional, well-established automotive dealership.

Key responsibilities

• Carrying out quality vehicle body repairs and panel work
• Assessing vehicle damage and determining the required repairs
• Removing, repairing and refitting damaged body panels and components
• Straightening and repairing vehicle body structures where required
• Ensuring correct panel alignment, gaps and finishes
• Working closely with our paint and mechanical teams throughout the repair process
• Following manufacturer repair procedures and specifications
• Ensuring all repairs meet our quality and safety standards
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop
• Completing work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship

About you

• Is an experienced and qualified Panel Beater / Body Repair Technician
• Takes pride in producing high-quality workmanship
• Has strong attention to detail
• Can accurately assess vehicle damage and carry out repairs
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Has a strong commitment to safety and quality
• Is reliable, organised and takes ownership of their work
• Has a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a great team environment
• Experience working with Toyota vehicles or within a dealership/collision repair environment will be highly regarded
