Job summary

Johnson Controls on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Building Automation Service Technician to service, maintain and optimize complex building automation systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial sites.

You will install, commission, and program control systems, diagnose faults, and conduct preventative maintenance while building strong customer relationships and ensuring safety compliance. The role offers training, career progression, and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Electrical Licence is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in building controls.
• Experience with Building Performance and Energy Efficiency solutions.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC operations.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and program building automation and control systems
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical faults efficiently
Service and maintain installed systems across existing customer sites
Conduct preventative maintenance and system optimization activities

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

What We're Looking For

You are a technically capable and customer-focused professional who enjoys solving complex problems and delivering outstanding outcomes.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence
• Minimum 5 years' experience in building controls following apprenticeship completion
• Experience with Building Performance and Energy Efficiency solutions
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC operations
• Knowledge of chiller, boiler, and airside plant performance and design requirements
• Experience with IT systems, network communications, and PC hardware configuration
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong commitment to safety, including proactive hazard identification and risk resolution
