Job summary

Control & Electric Pty Ltd is seeking a BMS technician to join their Canberra team. The role covers service maintenance, BMS site commissioning (low voltage and extra low voltage), and involvement in current and future BMS projects.

You will report findings to customers and participate in ongoing training while complying with WHS policies. Ideal candidates have some BMS/DDC software knowledge, solid mechanical services understanding, and competent PC skills.

Qualifications

• BMS/DDC software knowledge preferred, not essential.
• Strong knowledge of building mechanical services.
• Competent PC skills essential.
• Understanding of Controls Fundamentals and HVAC protocols.
• Understanding of IP related protocols, networking and communications.
• Electrical license or restricted electrical license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform service maintenance and provide customers reports and solutions.
• Conduct BMS site commissioning (LV & ELV electrical commissioning).
• Routine tasks for current and future BMS projects.
• Participate in required company training.
• Comply with all WHS policies and procedures.
• Able to work unsupervised and as a team member.

Duties & Responsibilities

Currently looking to employ both Service Technicians and Engineering/Commissioning Technicians

Conduct service maintenance works and providing customers reports and solutions.

Conduct BMS Site Commissioning (Including Low Voltage & Extra Low Voltage Electrical Commissioning)

Routine Tasks associated with Current & Future BMS projects.

Participate in all required Company training.

Comply with all Control & Electric WHS Policies / Procedures.

Able to work unsupervised and as a team member.

Skills & Experience

Previous BMS/DDC software engineering skills is preferred, but not essential.

Strong knowledge of building mechanical services.

Competent PC skills are essential.

Sound knowledge of Controls Fundamentals and HVAC Protocols.

Understanding of IP related protocols, networking and communications.

An electrical license or restricted electrical license is preferred, but not essential.
