Job summary

Bathurst Regional Council is seeking a Bitumen Maintenance Ganger to undertake bitumen patching duties within the Bathurst region. You must hold NSW HR (MR at minimum) and have experience with bitumen products and minor road construction plant. You will supervise staff and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Role requires 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an on-call roster and pre-employment checks. Salary ranges from approx.

Qualifications

• Hold a current NSW Class HR Driver's Licence (minimum).
• Possess General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
• Possess Traffic Controller and SafeWork NSW training card.
• Knowledge/experience handling bitumen products and bitumen maintenance practices.
• Experience supervising, coordinating and managing staff.
• Adequate numeracy and literacy skills.
• Experience completing standard forms.

Responsibilities

• Undertake bitumen patching duties for road construction and maintenance in Bathurst region.
• Operate minor plant related to road maintenance and bitumen activities.
• Supervise and coordinate staff to ensure work quality and safety.
