Job summary

Brighton Beach Hotel, part of the ALH Hotels and Endeavour Group network, seeks a Bistro Supervisor. You will lead a hands-on team, drive guest service excellence and ensure RSA compliance while promoting loyalty programs. Flexibility for days, evenings and weekends is required.

You will work closely with the Venue Manager and Head Chef to grow the food offering and foster a safety-focused culture across the venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in a pub/venue environment with food and drinks knowledge.
• Holds a valid RSA certificate and can lead a hands-on bistro team.
• Must be a great people person with strong communication and detail.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests and create memorable moments through product passion.
• Lead the bistro in guest service, health and safety, compliance and cleanliness.
• Induct/train/develop team members, focusing on product knowledge.
• Promote ALH Loyalty Programs and benefits to guests.
• Collaborate with Venue Manager and Head Chef to grow food offerings.

About the Role

Bistro Supervisor | Brighton Beach Hotel

We’re searching high and low for a true ‘people person’ with a real passion for pub food and drinks. Sure, everyone serves food and drinks but you bring the magic and make it unforgettable!

A day in the life of a Bistro Supervisor:

• Actively engage with guests by sharing your passion for our products and create special moments that our guests won’t forget
• Lead the bistro in a hands on basis in guest service, health and safety, compliance and cleanliness
• Ensure all team members are correctly inducted, trained and developed, particularly in product knowledge e.g, ingredients in food, menu items, promotional items and specials
• Let our guests know about our amazing ALH Loyalty Programs and their many benefits and product offerings
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and Head Chef to help grow the food offer
• Contribute positively to our culture of responsibility; which is centred around safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) compliance

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands‑on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About you:

• You have great experience in food, particularly in a venue pub/club environment
• You are great with people, detail and communication and are motivated to make magic happen for your guests and your teammates
• You have flexible availability across the day, evenings and weekends
• You hold a current RSA certificate
• You’ll be yourself and come as you are - ALH is known for its people!
