Job summary

SC Medical is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join their biomedical engineering team in Australia. The role focuses on designing, testing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing biomedical equipment to meet clinical and regulatory standards.

You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and performance testing, while coordinating with healthcare professionals and suppliers to support equipment optimization.

Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant Biomedical Engineer experience.
• Tertiary qualifications in Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment and diagnostic systems.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation and standards.
• Good communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and evaluate biomedical equipment to meet clinical needs.
• Install, calibrate, maintain and repair equipment for safe operation.
• Conduct routine inspections and performance testing of devices.
• Investigate faults and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and QA requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain records accurately.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, suppliers and manufacturers.
• Assist with evaluation and deployment of new technologies.
