Job summary

SC Medical is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to join our Australian team in Perth. The role focuses on designing, testing, and maintaining biomedical equipment, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across facilities.

You will handle calibration, fault investigation, and documentation while collaborating with clinicians and suppliers. You should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least one year of relevant experience, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; relevant certificates considered.
• At least 1 year of biomedical engineering or similar experience.
• Strong knowledge of biomedical equipment, medical devices, and diagnostic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and standards.
• Good communication and teamwork with healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and evaluate biomedical equipment and devices.
• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair equipment for safe performance.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and testing.
• Investigate faults and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and maintenance records.
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, suppliers, and manufacturers for support.
• Assist with evaluation and implementation of new medical technologies.
