Job summary

ANZ Worldline Payment Solutions in Australia seeks a Billing Consultant to ensure accurate billing and effective collections. You will manage invoices, payments, and customer records, reporting to the Head of Payment Resolutions, CDD & Fraud Prevention.

You’ll work on high-volume invoicing, payment processing, and ongoing process improvements to strengthen revenue integrity and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, customer service or finance roles.
• Knowledge of billing systems, invoicing processes and basic accounting principles.
• Experience using CRM systems, billing platforms or customer management tools.
• Strong customer service skills with professional telephone and email manners.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue a high volume of regular invoices to customers.
• Process incoming customer payments and apply them to accounts in the billing system.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer billing records and perform reconciliations.
• Generate standard billing reports and maintain billing documentation for audit purposes.

The role

As a Billing Consultant, your role is to ensure our company's billing is accurate and our collections are managed effectively and professionally. You will be responsible for a portfolio of customer accounts, managing everything from generating invoices to following up on overdue payments. Reporting to the Head of Payment Resolutions, CDD & Fraud Prevention, you will play a vital, hands-on role in securing our company's revenue and providing a positive financial experience for our customers.

What You’ll Do

Billing Operations

• Prepare and issue a high volume of regular invoices to our customers
• Process incoming customer payments and apply them correctly to the appropriate accounts in the billing system
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer billing records
• Perform routine account reconciliations and identify payment discrepancies
• Generate standard billing reports and maintain billing documentation for audit purposes

Collections Management

• Follow up with customers on overdue accounts
• Monitor aging reports and prioritise collections activities
• Process payment arrangements and monitor compliance

Analysis & Process Improvement

• Proactively analyse billing and payment data
• Recommend process improvements
• Assist with testing and implementation of new billing system features and processes

What You’ll Bring

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 3+ years’ experience in billing, collections, accounts receivable, customer service or finance roles preferably within the fintech or financial services industry
• Knowledge of billing systems, invoicing processes and basic accounting principles
• Experience using CRM systems, billing platforms or customer management tools
• Strong customer service skills with ability to respond professional and efficiently
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong numerical accuracy
• Excellent communication skills with professional telephone and email manner
• Customer focused approach with empathy for customers experiencing payment difficulties
