Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) invites applications for a Bilingual Technical Compliance Engineer based in our Adelaide office. You will deliver technical support and regulatory compliance services to regulators, manufacturers, and internal teams, reviewing documentation and maintaining regulatory records.

You will work with international teams across Japan and the Asia‑Pacific region, developing procedures and standards while staying current with evolving regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand Japanese and English to perform duties.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is required.

Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) has an opportunity for a Bilingual Technical Compliance Engineer, based out of our Adelaide office. This position is within our global Technical Compliance team. They provide technical consulting services to regulators, manufacturers, and internal staff. They are responsible for a number of things, but most notably is working with regulators to ensure products meet the standards and requirements of their respective jurisdictions.

About the Role

As a Bilingual Technical Compliance Engineer, you will provide technical support and regulatory compliance services to regulators, gaming suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You will review documentation, assist with compliance evaluations, maintain regulatory records, and contribute to the development of technical procedures and standards.

This role will work closely with our international teams and support clients and regulators throughout Japan and the Asia‑Pacific region.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Support regulators, suppliers, and operators by responding to technical compliance enquiries.
• Review technical documentation and submissions for regulatory compliance.
• Assist with maintaining regulatory and certification records for assigned jurisdictions.
• Develop and maintain procedural documentation, forms, and test scripts.
• Assist with preparing technical correspondence and regulatory communications.
• Demonstrate a basic level of understanding of gaming product(s)
• Collaborate with colleagues and cross‑functional teams on technical and compliance matters.
• Support the review of certification reports and regulatory documentation.
• Keep up to date with technical standards, regulations, and industry developments.
• Provide technical training and/or workshops to internal/external customers

Experience, Education and Skills:

• Must have the ability to effectively read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in Japanese and English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Programming or a similar technical field is required.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare technical reports and business correspondence.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Location: This is a full‑time position based out of Adelaide office.

Schedule: Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Pay: AUD 37.79 per hour

Travel: Up to 10% travel is expected for this role.
