Job summary
Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) seeks entry level Test Engineers to join our global Engineering Delivery team. These are in-office, full time positions based out of our Adelaide office.
As part of a world-class testing and certification leader, you will test software and hardware designs for the gambling industry, learn quickly, and develop with strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, math or technical field preferred.
- Associate degree in CS/EE/CE or 2+ years of equivalent experience may be considered.
- Certification or training may be evaluated in lieu of education.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Knowledge of C++ or similar OO language required.
- Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to quality, detail, accuracy, and deadlines.
- Background check may be required.
Responsibilities
- Develop understanding of technical requirements and regulations.
- Understand client expectations and testing requests.
- Utilize internal project tracking tools.
- Research and apply special rules or other requirements.
- Develop and execute test methods for technical and client requirements; document results and defects.
- Manage projects against budgets and timelines.
- Communicate testing status to internal and external parties.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers.

Our Test Engineers are part of a global Engineering Delivery department. You will have an opportunity to test software and hardware designs that impact the products and services within the gambling industry.
While experience in this specific role is not required, we are looking for someone with an eagerness to learn and a keen eye for attention to detail, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Developing an understanding of technical requirements/regulations
- Developing an understanding of client's expectations and additional testing requests
- Learns and properly utilizes various internal tools used for project tracking and management.
- Researching, identifying and applying any special rules or other requirements
- Accurately developing and executing test methods for technical and client requirementsEffectively documenting test results and discovered defects
- Managing projects and tasks against budgets and timelines
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with all assigned customers
- Maintaining an understanding of the customer's needs and market position
- Proactively communicating the status of testing with all relevant internal and external parties
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience in engineering, science, math or other technical areas strongly preferred
- Associate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or 2+ years of equivalent experience may be considered
- Certification, formal training or experience may also be evaluated and considered in lieu of educational requirements
- Valid Driver's License required
- Knowledge of C++ or other modern, object-oriented programming language(s) is required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively and professionally speak orally and in writing with both internal and external parties
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, correctness, and deadlines
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
These are an in-person, full-time positions based out of our Adelaide office.
Normal hours are Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
AUD $42.92 per hour
Up to 5% travel may be required, to other Australia office locations or for field work.
