Job summary

Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an Incident Management Engineer fluent in Korean and English to join the Incident Detection and Response team. You will lead incident response, communicate with stakeholders, and coordinate technical resolver engagement for mission-critical workloads.

As a follow-the-sun role, you will work core hours 9am-5pm AEST and may cover weekends and public holidays. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, plus 5+ years in incident/problem management,

Qualifications

• Business level Korean and English, verbal and written.
• 5+ years major incident / problem management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or 6+ years relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident resolution for large-scale, customer-impacting incidents as part of a team.
• Coordinate critical, complex escalations with Engineering teams.
• Provide incident response management and lead calls with stakeholders.
• Create and review documentation and SOPs to drive operational excellence.
• Mentor peers and drive continuous improvement in incident practices.
• Monitor communications during high impact events and coordinate with channels.
