Job summary

Equans Solar and Storage in Sydney seeks a Bid Manager to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage end-to-end bid processes for solar and energy storage projects. You will drive opportunity assessment, planning, and technical/commercial responses to secure winning bids.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in EPC/renewables with at least 3 years of bidding experience. Open to diverse candidates; based in Sydney with on-site work expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, Commerce, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in EPC, renewable energy, power generation, transmission, or infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in bidding, tendering, estimating, project development, or commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Support business development during origination and customer engagement.
• Lead multidisciplinary bid teams across engineering, procurement, commercial, legal, HSE, and project delivery functions.
• Coordinate development of EPC technical solutions for utility-scale Solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hybrid Solar + BESS facilities, grid connection and substation works, SCADA, Energy Management Systems and plant controls.
• Lead the preparation of EPC cost estimates and pricing models; coordinate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and partners.
• Review EPC contracts, technical specifications and commercial terms; present risk profiles to management.
• Prepare and manage high-quality proposal documents and schedules; coordinate executive summaries and technical responses.
• Support commercial negotiations and handover activities; coordinate lessons learned and bid close-out.
