Job summary

Bluefin Company Limited in Sydney is seeking a Trading Operations Analyst to join its Energy Markets team. You will work at the intersection of BESS operations, electrical engineering, energy markets and commercial performance, supporting day-to-day operations of grid-connected battery assets and coordinating with asset operations, market monitoring, and internal commercial teams.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or Renewable Energy Engineering.
Approximately 3+ years' experience across renewable energy, BESS, power systems, asset operations, trading operations or energy market analytics.
Exposure to operating or analysing grid-connected generation or storage assets.
Strong Excel capability; exposure to Python, SQL or Power BI would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Monitor day-to-day operational, electrical and commercial performance of BESS assets, including cycling, degradation, availability, asset health and operating constraints.
Monitor and analyse operational data from SCADA, AEMO, OEM, network and trading systems.
Maintain asset performance dashboards and support weekly/monthly reporting across technical, operational, market and financial KPIs.
Review asset operating parameters and ensure alignment with grid connection constraints, technical limits and contractual obligations.
Interpret technical specifications, single-line diagrams, electrical drawings and operating requirements.
