Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Electrician with HV experience to perform inspections, preventive maintenance and field service on Battery Energy Storage Systems and associated HV/MV/LV networks. You will troubleshoot issues, conduct HV switching, and maintain records while supporting commissioning tests and optimisations.

The role requires interpretation of drawings, strong collaboration with contractors and teams, and willingness to travel to project sites across Australia.

Qualifications

• Current A-Class Electrician Licence with HV experience.
• Experience in energy, renewable energy, engineering or battery storage sectors.
• Strong knowledge of HV switching practices and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, service manuals and documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and support commissioning activities.
• Experience supervising contractors and coordinating permit-to-work processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using appropriate diagnostic and testing tools
• Conduct HV switching activities in accordance with safety, regulatory, and operational requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance, switching, permit, and technical records
• Identify and address system issues to minimise downtime and optimise performance
• Support commissioning activities, including testing, validation, and optimisation of new installations
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support safe and efficient operations
