Job summary

Fluence, a global leader in energy storage and optimization software, is seeking an experienced Electrician for field service across BESS installations in Australia. You will perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and HV switching, ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Travel to project sites and collaboration with internal teams are essential. Applicants hold an A-Class Electrician Licence with HV experience, strong diagnostics ability, and proven problem-solving

Qualifications

• Current A-Class Electrician Licence with relevant HV experience.
• Experience in energy, renewable energy, engineering or battery storage sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HV switching practices and electrical safety standards.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting in technical environments.
• Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, service manuals, and technical documentation.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and field service on BESS and HV/MV/LV systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Conduct HV switching activities in line with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, switching, permit, and technical records.
• Identify and address system issues to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Support commissioning activities, including testing, validation, and optimisation of new installations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to support safe and efficient operations.

• Familiarity with renewable energy, BESS technologies, and relevant industry standards.
