Job summary

Fluence Energy seeks a skilled Service Technician to join our on-site team in Morwell, Victoria. You will maintain and service Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), perform HV switching, and coordinate permits to ensure reliability, safety, and efficiency of our energy storage solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in HV electric service, an A-Class Electrician license, and strong problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years hands-on field-based HV electrical service experience.
Current A-Class Electrician License with HV experience.
Proficiency in HV switching and safety standards.
Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

Perform field service, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on BESS and HV/LV/MV systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site using diagnostic tools.
Conduct high-voltage switching operations in compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate documentation including HV switching records and permits.
Identify and address issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
Provide technical support during commissioning, including testing and validation.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders for smooth execution.
Prepare reports and update technical documentation with the team.
Stay current with industry standards and best practices for BESS operations.
