Job summary

CatholicCare Sydney is seeking a Behavioural Support Practitioner - Child and Family Wellbeing to provide evidence-informed behavioural support to children aged 5-11 and their families. You will work within a multidisciplinary team across community, school and home settings.

You will collaborate with parents, carers and educators to develop tailored plans, deliver coaching and psychoeducation, and monitor progress in line with the SPARK model of care and organisational standards, in a hybrid

Qualifications

Relevant tertiary qualifications in psychology or related field.
Experience with children aged 5-11 and families.
Experience with behavioural assessments and intervention strategies.
Knowledge of child development and trauma-informed practice.
Current NSW Driver Licence and Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-informed behavioural support to children 5-11 and families.
Conduct behavioural assessments to identify contributing factors.
Develop, implement, monitor and review individualised behavioural support plans.
Support children to develop positive social skills, emotional regulation and resilience.
Work with families to strengthen parenting capacity and support positive child behaviour.
Provide coaching, psychoeducation and strategies to families and carers.
Collaborate with schools and community stakeholders to promote consistency.
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and coordinated service delivery.
Monitor progress and evaluate intervention outcomes.
Maintain accurate case notes and reporting in line with standards.
