Job summary

Civic Disability Services is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner Supervisor to lead a multidisciplinary team across the Sutherland Shire, Sydney Metro and surrounding areas. You will supervise practitioners, manage a varied caseload, and deliver evidence-based interventions onsite, in the community, and via Telehealth.

The role emphasizes supervision, mentoring, and professional development while maintaining clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Advanced Behaviour Support NDIS registration.
• 2+ years experience as an NDIS Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, coaching other practitioners.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to Behaviour Support Practitioners.
• Facilitate peer supervision and capability building.
• Manage a varied caseload, onsite, in community settings, and via Telehealth as required.
• Support practitioners in managing restrictive practices and incident reporting, ensuring compliance with legislation and NDIS Quality & Safeguards Practice Standards.
• Provide coaching and practical guidance to practitioners, support workers, and carers, enhancing their skills and knowledge in evidence-based interventions.
• Conduct assessments and provide strategies and support to meet the needs of children and adults in communication, self-regulation, social skills, self-care, participation, and inclusion.
• Contribute to service quality, practitioner performance, and KPI achievement.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Allied Health & Clinical Services to support service growth, continuous improvement, and positive client outcomes.

Civic Disability Services is seeking a passionate, motivated, and experienced individual to join our growing multidisciplinary team as a Behaviour Support Practitioner Supervisor. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Allied Health & Clinical Services, you will deliver high-quality, evidence-based behaviour support services to clients while providing supervision, guidance, and support to Behaviour Support Practitioners across the team.

This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who enjoys supporting the professional development of others while maintaining a clinical caseload. You will play a key role in fostering collaboration, promoting best practice, and ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients across the Sutherland Shire, Sydney Metro, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to Behaviour Support Practitioners.

About You

You are an Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience providing supervision, mentoring, or support to other practitioners. You excel at building relationships, communicating effectively, and promoting a positive, collaborative team culture.

You will possess:

• Advanced Behaviour Support NDIS registration.
• 2+ years' experience as an NDIS Advanced Behaviour Support Practitioner.
• Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience providing supervision, mentoring, coaching, or guidance to practitioners.
• Expertise in conducting evidence-based assessments and therapeutic interventions, particularly with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Strong understanding of the NDIS and NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission.
• Understanding of capacity-building and person-centred approaches within the disability sector.
• Passion for innovative, practical solutions that empower clients to realise their potential.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
