Job summary

Community Solutions in Rockhampton is seeking a compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team, delivering Positive Behaviour Support to individuals and families. You will conduct functional behaviour assessments, develop evidence-based strategies, complete Interim and Comprehensive PBS plans, and collaborate with families, support workers and allied health professionals.

• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.

• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable time.

About The Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you’ll work with individuals, their families, and support networks to develop and support providers to implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans that promote safety, choice, and independence. You’ll use your clinical expertise to:

• Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop evidence-based strategies.
• Complete Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support plans
• Collaborate with families, support workers, and allied health professionals.
• Build the capacity of support teams through coaching and mentoring.

About You

You’re an empathetic professional who thrives on helping others reach their potential.

You Bring

• A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, Developmental Education or related field.
• Registration preferably as a Core Practitioner.
• Experience developing and implementing PBS plans in complex settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable time.
• A valid driver's licence and willingness to drive, and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain)
