Job summary

Hanrahan Health is expanding its range of supports to include positive behaviour support. We are seeking experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners in Bowral, of all experience levels, to join our multidisciplinary team and support NDIS participants and their families.

You will assess needs, develop person-centred plans, and deliver evidence-based strategies within home and community settings, with mentoring for less experienced staff and opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience supporting people with disabilities within the NDIS, including complex and challenging behaviours.
  • Qualifications as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or relevant disability sector experience, supported by a Degree or Diploma.
  • Strong report writing, time management, and organisational skills.
  • Proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent people skills and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning.
  • Evaluating, developing and delivering evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
  • Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies utilise a positive behaviour support framework, and eliminate restrictive practices.
  • Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.
  • Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives.
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Job Description

Hanrahan Health are excited to announce that we are expanding the range of supports we provide to our clients by adding positive behaviour support!

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners of all experience and suitability levels in Bowral. Whether you are just starting your Behaviour Support career or have suitability levels Core, Proficient or Advanced, we want to hear from you!

On a daily basis you will be:

  • Ensuring individual plans reflect our NDIS participants' goals, passions and strengths
  • Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc
  • Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.
Qualifications
About you
  • Proven experience supporting people with disabilities within the NDIS, including complex and challenging behaviours
  • Qualifications as a Behaviour Support Practitioner or relevant disability sector experience, supported by a Degree or Diploma
  • Strong report writing, time management, and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solution-focused mindset with excellent people skills and a passion for supporting individuals with complex needs
  • Hold a valid drivers licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle
