Job summary

Guardian Jobs is seeking a proactive Behaviour Learning Mentor to support pupils with SEMH needs at a Bexley school. You will work across classrooms and corridors, providing 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils regulate, engage, and stay connected with learning.

The role involves leading restorative conversations, collaborating with teachers and the pastoral team, and being a calm, adaptable presence who helps re-engage students in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (e.g., in schools, youth work, or mentoring).
• Ability to lead restorative conversations and rebuild relationships.
• Skilled at managing challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, small-group, and in-class support for pupils needing behavioural/SEL help.
• Lead restorative conversations to support pupil return to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral team to deliver consistent, effective interventions.
• Be a visible, proactive presence across the school to prevent crises.
