Job summary

Queensland Department of Education in Burpengary, QLD is seeking a passionate Behaviour Coach to join Burpengary State Secondary College. The role focuses on leading targeted behaviour interventions and improving student engagement across the school.

The Behaviour Coach will work with leadership, teachers and support staff to strengthen whole-school strategies, provide coaching, and support successful reintegration of students into classrooms.

Qualifications

• A relevant teaching qualification and suitable classroom experience.
• Current full registration as a teacher in Queensland or eligibility for full registration.
• Blue Card exemption for Education and Care Services is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Tier 2 and Tier 3 behaviour intervention programs to support students.
• Coach and mentor staff to strengthen classroom behaviour management.
• Promote restorative practices and reintegration of students into mainstream classes.
• Support individual student case management and risk assessments.
• Utilise data on behaviour and engagement to drive improvements.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families and staff.
