Job summary

Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club is seeking a reliable casual Bar Attendant in the Newcastle area to join our beachside club team.

You will serve drinks, manage the POS, restock, receive deliveries, and assist with stock handling while keeping bars and service areas clean. RSA is required; hospitality experience and strong customer service are essential, with availability for weekday/evening/weekend shifts and club events.

Qualifications

• RSA competency required to work legally in NSW.
• Bar or hospitality experience and a strong customer focus.
• Must be able to perform physical duties, including moving kegs and stock.
• Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently or in a team.
• Available for shifts on weekdays, evenings, weekends and club functions.
• Kitchen experience is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Providing friendly, welcoming service to members and guests.
• Serving drinks and operating the point-of-sale system.
• Restocking fridges, receiving deliveries and keeping stock areas organised.
• Safely moving kegs and cartons of bottled stock using appropriate equipment and team assistance.
• Keeping the bar, equipment and service areas clean and tidy.
• Supporting bar operations during club activities, functions and events.
