Job summary

Alex Surf Club on the Sunshine Coast is seeking an experienced Full-Time or Casual Chef to join our busy kitchen team across the Bistro, Bluff Bar, and Seaside Cafe. You will be part of a dynamic group that values quality food and teamwork.

You will prepare, cook and present high-quality meals, work across sections, and maintain food safety standards while supporting day-to-day operations and seasonal menu changes.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong food safety and kitchen hygiene knowledge.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Good time management and organisation.
• Calm and organised during busy service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present high-quality meals.
• Work across different kitchen sections.
• Maintain food quality, presentation and portion control.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and WHS requirements.
• Assist with stock rotation, storage and wastage control.
• Support Head Chef and wider kitchen team with day-to-day operations.
• Prepare meals to meet dietary requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area.
• Contribute ideas and support seasonal menu changes.
