Job summary

Hy-Tec Concrete & Aggregates seeks a Batch Plant Operator to join the Narangba team. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, taking orders, batching concrete to spec, and scheduling deliveries to optimise truck usage and efficiency.

The successful candidate will operate both mobile and fixed plant, use batching systems, and uphold safety and compliance while supporting training and competency development.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service within the concrete industry or similar environment.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse customers.
• Comfort with computerised batching systems and scheduling software.

• Take orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery
• Batch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerised system
• Use software packages to schedule rostering and truck movements for the region

The Role

If you have a passion for customer service in the Concrete industry and a talent for problem solving and prioritising workload, then this is the opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Batch Plant Operator to join our Narangba team. In this diverse position you will play a critical role in our business by ensuring customer expectations are met at all stages of our ordering & delivery processes. You will provide excellent customer service whilst taking orders, batch concrete to customer specifications and schedule and allocate deliveries to maximise the efficiency and utilisation of our concrete agitator trucks. You will also operate mobile and fixed plant and equipment, including front end loaders and forklifts. If you are reliable, have a strong work ethic and are committed to safety, then this is your opportunity to join our team. What You Will Need To Succeed

• Previous experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in Command/Jonel batching systems (desired but not essential)
• Experienced Plant Operator (FEL preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant change
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Confident when working with computers
