Job summary

Hy-Tec, part of Adbri, invites applications for a Trainee Batcher / Batch Plant Operator at our Swanbank concrete plant. You will learn to manage concrete batching, schedule deliveries and operate plant equipment safely within a supportive team.

No batching experience is required; we provide full training. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, good communication and the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy plant environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar batching roles and comfort with batching software (Command/Jonel) preferred.
• Ability to learn batching software and safety procedures.
• Willingness to be trained and grow within Hy-Tec/Adbri.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent phone-based customer service and represent the Hy-Tec brand
• Take orders, finalise sales, and batch concrete to specific mix designs
• Schedule rostering and truck movements using software
• Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Order raw materials as needed

What you will need to Succeed

• Plant Operator experience (FEL preferred)
• Proven ability to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
