Job summary

Fortescue is seeking an Environmental Studies Project Manager to coordinate the Belinga Environmental Baseline Studies program in Perth, with occasional international travel to Gabon. The role involves leading study packages, consultants and internal teams to deliver field campaigns safely and efficiently, with strong project controls over contracts, schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience leading complex projects, work programs or field campaigns.
• Experience coordinating contracts and procurement including tendering, mobilisation and close-out.
• Strong planning and controls skills: schedule, cost tracking, forecasting and reporting.
• Experience coordinating remote or challenging field campaigns with safety planning and logistics.
• Ability to monitor performance, risks and actions and raise issues early.
• Clear communication and collaboration across technical and corporate teams.
• Familiarity with document management systems such as PIMS, BMS or Enablon.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated plan for the baseline studies program including schedules and field windows.
• Coordinate procurement and contracting for study packages from planning through close-out.
• Track budgets, forecasts and progress and provide reporting on schedule, cost and readiness.
• Coordinate assurance/review processes to meet study requirements.
• Work with HSE, consultants and project teams on risk planning and field logistics.
• Manage day-to-day interfaces between consultants and project teams, tracking actions to completion.
• Lead ESIA Studies Field Coordinators and workload planning.
• Maintain accurate project records and capture lessons for future delivery.
