Glencore is seeking a Principal – Environmental Water Studies & Projects in Brisbane to lead water management across GMA. You will drive surface water and groundwater studies, design remediation strategies, and manage regulatory compliance while coordinating with sites across Queensland, NT and WA.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or related discipline.
• ~10 years in environmental management within mining.
• Proven expertise in surface water and groundwater resources.
• Knowledge of Australian environmental legislation and regulator engagement.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder relationship skills; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for Environmental Management with a focus on water across GMA.
• Lead groundwater and surface water studies including remediation design.
• Develop strategies and targets for water resource management.
• Ensure compliance with legislative obligations and risk management.
• Engage regulators and stakeholders to influence policy.
• Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for major projects.
• Mentor and coach team members and drive continuous improvement.
