Job summary

Oaks Cairns Hotel is seeking enthusiastic, service-driven Bartender / Food & Beverage Attendants for a part-time role. You will work across bar and restaurant floors, supporting lunch and evening shifts with a rotating roster seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a barista, café, restaurant or food and beverage role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and coffee equipment operation.
• A current RSA certificate (or the ability to obtain one).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues.
• Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional service to all guests across the restaurant and bar.
• Taking and delivering orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Preparing and serving beverages to a high standard, maintaining bar cleanliness and stock levels.
• Recommending menu items confidently, sharing knowledge of food and beverage offerings.
• Maintaining a welcoming atmosphere and resolving guest needs with professionalism.
