Job summary

Club Kotara is seeking a friendly casual bartender to join our small, hands-on team. You’ll work behind the bar, pour drinks, assist with member queries, and help with coffee service during the day and events.

This genuine all-rounder role covers bar service, restaurant service, gaming room duties, and general venue tasks. NSW RSA is required, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn new skills in a relaxed, community-focused club with rotating weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• NSW RSA certification required.
• Willing to obtain NSW RCG competency card.
• Comfortable learning barista, gaming, TAB skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work a rotating roster including weekends.
• Friendly and approachable with members and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Bar service — drinks, member transactions, keeping the bar clean and stocked.
• Restaurant service — ensure guests have a memorable experience.
• Gaming room attendant duties — customer service on the gaming floor, basic machine queries, compliance awareness.
• General venue duties — setting up for events, restocking, keeping the venue presentable.
• Provide friendly, first-name service to members and visitors.

Casual Bartender — Club Kotara

Hours: Casual, approximately 20–30 hours per week

Roster: Rotating across weekdays, evenings, and weekends

About Us

Club Kotara is a licensed bowling and recreation club in the heart of Kotara — just down the road from Westfield and Kotara Station. We're a friendly, community-focused venue with a bar, bistro, gaming lounge, TAB, Keno, BBQ, and a bowling green. We run raffles, trivia, bingo, events, and functions, and we're growing. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of a small, hands-on team where no two shifts are the same.

About the Role

This is a genuine all-rounder position. You'll be behind the bar pouring schooners one minute, helping a member with a gaming query the next, and making coffees before lunch service. It's a great role if you want to build a broad hospitality skill set in a supportive environment.
