Job summary

Green Leaves Early Learning is seeking a kitchen professional to support the Centre Chef in preparing nutritious meals and purees, while ensuring dietary needs are met for babies and children. You will greet families, serve fresh coffee, and run small culinary classes with Educators in a safety-focused environment.

Ideal candidates hold a Food Safety Certificate, Working with Children Check, and First Aid/CPR, with experience in high‑risk kitchens and a current Police Clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high‑risk commercial kitchen (e.g., childcare, hospital, or aged care) is essential.
• Demonstrated time management and ability to coordinate with the Centre Chef.
• Strong communication with families and team members is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Centre Chef in preparing nutritious meals and purees and accommodate dietary requirements.
• Greet families with a warm smile and provide barista-made coffees and fresh baked treats.
• Lead culinary classes with Educators to support learning about food and nutrition.
• Maintain the kitchen's safety and cleanliness in line with Food Authority requirements and Green Leaves standards.
• Support daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
