Job summary

Green Leaves Early Learning is seeking a kitchen-focused professional in Melbourne to support the Centre Chef with nutritious meals and baby-friendly purees. You will greet families with a warm smile, offer barista-made coffees, and deliver small culinary classes alongside educators.

Responsibilities include maintaining high food-safety standards, assisting with daily kitchen operations, and stepping into the Chef’s role during early hours.

Qualifications

• Current Food Safety Certificate.
• Current VIC Working with Children's Check.
• Current VIC Child Protection and National Child Safety Training Certificates.
• Current First Aid and CPR (HLTAID012).
• National Police Clearance in the last 6 months.
• Availability to work 20-25 hours per week.
• Willingness to step up into the Chef’s role when absent (6:30 am–2:30 pm, Mon–Fri).

Responsibilities

• Assist Centre Chef with nutritious meals and purees.
• Greet families with warm hospitality and provide barista coffees.
• Provide culinary classes with Educators.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety to comply with standards.
• Support daily kitchen operations and time management.
