Job summary

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort & Sunshine Coast Convention Centre is seeking a passionate Barista to join our Food & Beverage team on a part-time basis. You’ll craft quality coffee and beverages while delivering friendly, engaging service across Sola Restaurant, Deli Café & Market and the Convention Centre.

This role suits coffee lovers who enjoy working with people and want the flexible, varied environment of a resort, with shifts across multiple outlets and events, staying calm and organised

Qualifications

• Barista experience in cafe, restaurant, hotel or similar.
• Passion for coffee and hospitality.
• Friendly, outgoing personality and guest focus.
• Attention to detail and quality beverages.
• Calm and organized in fast-paced environments.
• Team-oriented and flexible rosters, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality coffee, specialty beverages and refreshments
• Deliver friendly, efficient and personalised service to our guests
• Multitask across coffee preparation, customer service and other service needs
• Keep coffee stations, equipment and service areas clean, organised and well presented
• Assist with stock replenishment and maintaining appropriate supplies
• Support the wider Food & Beverage team during busy service periods
• Assist with conferences, functions and special events when required
• Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards
• Contribute to a positive, energetic and supportive team environment

Job Description

We're looking for a passionate and energetic Barista to join our Food & Beverage team on a part-time basis.

You'll be responsible for crafting quality coffee and beverages while delivering friendly, engaging service across our resort outlets, including Sola Restaurant, Deli Café & Market and the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves coffee, enjoys working with people and wants the flexibility of a part-time hospitality role. With a variety of outlets and events across the property, no two shifts are quite the same. You'll need to be confident multitasking, prioritising competing demands and staying organised during busy service periods.

What you'll be doing:

• Previous barista experience in a café, restaurant, hotel or similar environment
• A genuine passion for coffee and hospitality
• A friendly, outgoing personality and a natural ability to connect with guests
• Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality beverages
• The ability to stay calm and organised in a fast-paced environment
• A team-focused attitude and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed
• Availability to work a flexible part-time roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
