The Penguin Pantry is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team in Penguin, Tasmania. This is a casual position preferred availability is Monday to Friday with occasional weekends.

As a Barista, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operation, creating exceptional coffee experiences and providing outstanding customer service to our valued guests. This role is crucial to establishing the welcoming atmosphere and quality standards that define our venue.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving high-quality espresso-based beverages and specialty coffee drinks
• Operating and maintaining espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment to the highest standards
• Taking customer orders and processing payments accurately and efficiently
• Providing friendly, attentive customer service and building positive relationships with regular patrons
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the service area, including equipment and work stations
• Managing stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as required
• Working collaboratively with team members during busy service periods
• Following all food safety and health regulations
