Job summary

Teddy Espresso Smithfield is seeking an experienced barista to join our passionate and dynamic team. You will be responsible for serving quality cups of coffee with friendly customer service, contributing to the best coffee experience.

Responsibilities include daily equipment maintenance, dialing in coffees, brewing a variety of beverages, latte art, and maintaining sanitation and workflow. Flexibility for weekdays, weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Barista in specialty coffee roasters.
• Extensive understanding in specialty coffee including origins, processing methods, varietals and roasting.
• Ability to cup and score in accordance with SCA standard.
• Knowledge to create brew recipes with Grind Size, Dose, Yield, Brew Time and Temperature.
• Knowledge of current and past coffee culture.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong customer service skill and problem solving skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
