Job summary

Alfie’s Sydney is seeking a hands-on Bar Leadership role to ensure the quality and consistency of every pour, while guiding a skilled bar team. You will set the standard by example, reflect the venue’s tone each shift, and drive guest satisfaction through impeccable service and operational excellence.

You will oversee stock, waste control, and budgeting, while collaborating with the broader Liquid & Larder venues network to maintain best-in-class beverage experiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in a premium or hatted venue is essential.
• Able to lead with calm under pressure and make quick, confident decisions.
• Demonstrates strong guest service focus and team development.
• Detail oriented with a commitment to consistency and standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all cocktails are prepared to specification, every time.
• Lead and direct the bar team with clarity and confidence.
• Maintain a fully stocked bar and manage wet/dry goods and batched products.
• Deliver efficient, professional guest experiences aligned with brand strategy.
• Order and manage stock with focus on waste and budget.
• Reconcile cash up and manage operational administration.
• Communicate seamlessly across the venue team.
• Uphold compliance with relevant legal requirements.
• Host and support floor service as required.
