Job summary

The Barber Shop in Sydney CBD is seeking enthusiastic Bar Staff to provide friendly, high-standard service at the bar. You will deliver cocktails and beverages, manage orders, and help maintain a clean, safe bar environment in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

You will need strong customer service skills, knowledge of drinks preparation, and an RSA certificate. Flexible hours including evenings and weekends are required to meet busy periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks.
• Take customer orders accurately and ensure prompt service.

• Operate till/POS system and handle payments with accuracy.
• Keep bar area clean and well stocked, adhering to hygiene standards.
• Check IDs and enforce liquor licensing requirements.

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our team in the most accoladed Gin Bar in Australia, located in the Sydney CBD. In this role, you will be at the heart of our hospitality operations, delivering exceptional service to our guests whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a variety of beverages including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks to customers at the bar
• Taking customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt and courteous service at all times
• Maintaining knowledge of our drink menu, ingredients and preparation techniques to provide informed recommendations to customers
• Operating the till system and processing payments, including cash handling and reconciliation
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware, restocking supplies and adhering to hygiene standards
• Checking identification and refusing service where appropriate to ensure compliance with liquor licensing laws
• Communicating effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth bar operations during service periods
• Supporting the wider team during busy periods and assisting with general hospitality duties as required
• Following health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment for staff and customers

What we're looking for

• 2 years previous experience working in a bar, restaurant or hospitality establishment is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Knowledge of drinks preparation, cocktail-making and bar operations
• Responsible attitude towards liquor service and understanding of local licensing regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• Physical fitness to perform duties such as standing for extended periods and handling glassware
• Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop your skills within the hospitality industry
